THE 7TH GEOINFORMATION SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM 2021

Abstract Guidelines

Submission for abstract to this symposium should follow these several points, such as :

  1. Submitted in .docx format, single column
  2. Must include title, author lists, corresponding author’s email address, and keywords besides the actual abstract,
  3. Abstract should be written not more than 300 words (not including titles and keywords)

Paper Guidelines

Submitted paper for the symposium must follow the template provided by the committee. Generally, a paper is minimum four-pages and maximum 6-pages (including the references). The manuscript templates will be provided later. 

Scopus-Indexed Proceedings (To be updated)

The manuscript should follow the format from the publisher (details will be updated later). In general, the manuscript content should not be less than 4 pages and should not exceed 8 pages (not including the references) in a single-column document format with 12-font characters size.

Research presented and published in this symposium will be published in a proceeding that will be indexed by Scopus after a double-blind review process by the reviewers with related expertise. Therefore, the authors aimed for the Scopus-indexed proceeding should revise their manuscript according to the reviewer suggestion within the specified time range. Any manuscript which does not revise properly or passed the time range will be denied for publication.

An additional charge of Rp. 1.000.000 (for the domestic participant) and USD 100 (for the foreign participant) will be applied for each manuscript published under Scopus.

Poster Guidelines

Poster presenters should submit their abstracts and full papers before the specified dates (see important dates)

Poster presenters must stand besides their poster during the poster session (90 minutes) to engage with the symposium participants. 

In the Poster, the authors should cover concisely the following sections, such as: 

  1. Titles, authors, authors affiliation, corresponding emails
  2. Abstract
  3. Introduction
  4. Data and Methods
  5. Results and Discussion
  6. Conclusion
  7. References

The poster should be made in minimum A1 to A0 size with an attractive design, brief and concise contents and representative and readable from distance font sizes.

Student Paper and Poster Competition

Active students submitted and presented paper or poster in this symposium are eligible for student paper and poster competition. An assessment for the best paper and poster will be conducted by the scientific committee and reward will be announced during the closing ceremony. In general, the assessment will emphasize on the quality and innovation showed in the paper and poster.

Presentation Guidelines

Please prepare for 15 minutes oral presentation followed by 5 minutes Q/A session. 

Presentation should be made in presentation format (powerpoint (.ppt/.pptx) or .pdf)
