Map Competition 2021
Map Competition 2021 is the International competition for college student and National Competition for Senior High School student of making thematic maps. This competition is one of the parts of the GISCOM 2021 event that will be held by the Department of Geographic Science Information, Geography Faculty in Universitas Gadjah Mada. The competition is to create visualizations of the problems in society into thematic maps.
The general theme this competition is “Rise from Adversity Using Geospatial Technology”.
There are 3 sub themes for college student, among them are :
- Social Issues related to Covid 19
- Urban Movement (commuting) and morphology
- Health
There is no sub theme for senior high student.

| 15 August 2021 | Close Registration |
| 3 September 2021 | Deadline for map submission |
| 19 September 2021 | Announcement for finalist |
| 19 – 25 September 2021 | Finalist confirmation period |
| 25 September 2021 | Technical meeting for finalist |
| 2 – 18 October 2021 | Presentation video and presentation submission period |
| 18 October 2021 | Deadline for map and presentation submission |
| 27 October 2021 | Final event of Map Competition 2021 |
